Growing up, the inspiration she found in her surroundings led her to a creative practice shaped by experimenting with textures, colours, movement, tradition, and graphic elements. She began creating mood boards by blending influences from the urban landscapes of her heritage with the glossy pages of her mother’s fashion magazines.
Karla’s work exists at the intersection where creative vision meets the world of high fashion, using garments as her visual language.
From a young age, Karla explored her creative side by playing with her mom’s clothes and using her grandparents’ antiques as props to create stories.
